On this page we present a version of shading sails of small size suitable for medium to small environments, such as balconies, small relaxation corners within a garden, or even small play areas for children.

Shading sails of small size are easy to install and do not require poles with concrete excavations and plinths for their installation, since they develop a relatively small wind-impact sail area; the important thing is that the attachment points are strong enough.

Each sail is cut with the shaped sides slightly concave and folded on each side for about 4 cm. creating a fold inside of which a 4 mm. nautical rope is attached at the same time as the stitching; each side is worked with double stitching with cotton nylon blend thread.

At each corner of the sail, that is, at the point on which the folds of each side converge, a small steel eyelet is inserted so as to create a binding and tension point.

The inner perimeter rope is looped, and each steel ring, during the tether pull, acts within the perimeter of the tail itself, making an even pull on all sides of the sail.

This fabrication technique is a simplified version of that used for our large shading sails, but whose effectiveness in use it retains given the small size of the sails to which it is applied.

- square, without seam joints, perimeter measurements are in Info Card 2;
- equilateral triangle, with seam join, perimeter measurements are in Info Card 3;
